ETSI

xFlow Research is a full-time member of European Telecommunication Standards Institute (ETSI) which sets standards for cutting technologies like NFV, MEC, IoT, Smart Cities, Augmented Reality. Engineers from xFlow Research work closely with ETSI in different domains like Conformance and Interoperability testing, Development of Simulation and other Educational Tools based on the ETSI specifications, Export Support in Plugtests, and many more.

Following are the competencies and related work described in terms of our ETSI engagement and participation in Specialist Task Forces (STFs) and Testing Task Forces (TTFs):

  • STF 644: OpenAPI and Protocol Buffer descriptions for MEC APIs
  • STF 645: eDelivery Next Generation. Renovation of Electronic Registered Delivery Service (ERDS) Set of standards
  • STF 625: MEC Sandbox Feature Enhancement, Maintenance, and User Support
  • STF 598: OpenAPI representation of RESTful NFV MANO APIs
  • STF 606: OpenAPI and Protocol Buffer descriptions for MEC APIs
  • STF 576: Survey of current work and definition of a methodology for specification and testing of RESTful APIs
  • TTF oneM2M on Conformance testing for oneM2M specifications
  • TTF T015: NFV API Conformance test specification maintenance and development

xFlow Research also participates in different activities conducted by ETSI:

  • Part of the Plugtests Team in “Expert” capacity for organizing and supporting the NFV&MEC IOP Plugtests 2021 event
  • Participated as an NFVI provider in the ETSI NFV&MEC API Plugtests 2021 event
  • Participated as a “Technical Expert” in organizing the 4th NFV Plugtests event
  • Founding member of OSM community
  • Contributed to 6th OSM Hackfest
  • Provided expert support in the OSM-MR13 Hackfest 2022 by setting up VMs for the participants, wrote a Blog Post, and edited Hackfest videos
  • Presenting our experiences of using different automated testing techniques at the 8th User Conference on Advanced Automated Testing (UCAAT)
